Clean up. People buy robot vacuums because they hate vacuuming their home on their own. Too bad the robots still need a human to empty them. Or do they? iRobot, which makes arguably the world’s most popular robot vacuum, just unveiled the Roomba i7+. It’s smarter than previous robot vacuums, but the best part is its new dock companion. It empties the vacuum dustbin, so you don’t have to.

Elon speaks and speaks. Elon Musk Watchers got a treat late last night when the irascible CEO and entrepreneur sat down with podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan for almost three hours. I’ve been watching the replay on YouTube, but there are already a few fascinating tidbits (he might have smoked pot during the talk). I’ll be digging into them on my 33 Million Miles to Mars Podcast on Monday. In the meantime, here’s a story that highlights some of the juicier bits.

Check this out. I’ve got to hand it to the Japanese. They’re willing to put robots of almost any kind in any situation. Now, a hotel in Tokyo is letting a pair of robot dinosaurs check customers in. It is as ridiculous as it sounds. I still want to stay there.

P.S. This looks ridiculous.

AI Banking. I don’t think too much about banking or my credit, which is probably a mistake. In a recent sit down with executives from Capital One, I learned how it scours the Dark Web looking for customer data. If it finds it, it lets you know, and if your data is being used to make purchases, the bank’s AI can let you know about that, too. All this communication is handled, even when it comes via Intelligent Assistant with human-like care. Where did Capital One learn this? from us, of course. #CapitalOnePartner
