Makin’ Money. Apple just posted its best 3rd quarter ever, but along with incredible services and wearable numbers was a bit of fresh news. CVS is finally going to support Apple Pay. The pharmacy has been on long time hold-out for the frictionless payment system. Not sure why they finally gave in, but I’m looking forward to buying Tums with my Apple Watch.

Insta-Guns. No matter which side of the gun debate you sit on, it’s hard to imagine you’re cheering the availability of printable weapons. 3D printable guns have been a thing for years but getting a workable design for your 3D printer wasn’t that easy. Until now. There’s a site with plans. Fortunately, they’ve been shut down by a Federal judge. For now. If it’s any consolation, getting bullets that don’t blow the plastic things up isn’t that easy either.

Rigging it. Ever since the 2016 Presidential election, people have criticized Facebook for not doing enough to prevent fake news and removing accounts that spread fake news and propaganda. Facebook has been working on it ever since and its wealth of new tools and people have managed to catch a bunch of bad actors trying to influence mid term elections. Problem is they don’t know who created the accounts and are pretty sure the bad guys will soon adjust tactics and try again.
