SpaceX Crew Dragon Returns; Apple AR Plans; Moto Bendable; Game of Thrones Experience

Splash down. By the time you read this, SpaceX Crew Dragon spaceship should have splashed down in the Atlantic Ocean after undocking from the International Space Station very early Friday morning. Assuming all goes well – and it has so far – this is a big step on the road back to manned missions for the U.S. space program. Crew Dragon should launch with a human crew in July. After that, NASA and SpaceX are targeting the Moon.

Apple reality. Rumors of Apple developing its own augmented reality headset or glasses have been floating around for years. Now one analyst is willing to put a pin in when Apple will deliver the hardware. Ming-Chi Kuo believes the glasses will arrive in 2020. Kuo also predicts, as others have before him, that most of the heavy lifting – think processing – will be offloaded to your iPhone, which already has excellent AR capabilities. Doing so should make the glasses super-light.

More bendable. Speaking of rumors, more details about the totally unconfirmed folding Moto Razr phone may have leaked. They show a device somewhat wider than the original Razr flip phones. There’s a flexible screen on the inside and a small display on the outside. I really hope Motorola follows through with this.

Group view. If you’re feeling alone while watching Instagram video, especially Instagram TV, which I’m not sure anyone watches, Instagram parent Facebook might be testing a new Watch Party feature, so you can watch video content on the social media platform and not feel so alone.

Bleed for this. If you’re an HBO Game of Thrones fan, you know the medieval show returns for one more round of intrigue, mayhem, blood, and etc. on April 14. Out at South by Southwest, HBO has staged another mind-popping activation, this time to celebrate the end of the series. The multimedia/real world extravaganza has 80 actors, a full choir, interactive experiences and, yes, blood donation. Can’t make it to SXSW? Experience it through me.
