Zuckerberg draws the line. He’s staying, Sandberg is staying and, if he’s being honest, Facebook is just misunderstood. These are they key takeaways from Facebook Founder, Chairman, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg who, in a new CNN interview, says he has no plans to step down and he wants to work with his COO Sheryl Sandberg for decades to come. These statements come after a fresh series of missteps, most notably the hiring of the PR Firm Definers, which may have run some opposition media against Facebook opponents. IMHO: Removing Zuck is not the answer and could destabilize Facebook, which billions still use every single day. I still think Sandberg could exit on her own. This whole episode hasn’t been a good look for the accomplished executive who may have political aspirations.

Storm Clouds. Isn’t The Cloud awesome? It’s a server-based sea of unlimited storage for all our files, including precious photos and videos. We gather them on our smartphones and then send them away. With so many storage and services and options, it’s easy to forget where and when you stored something. Until one of your services sends you an email, telling you it’s changing the rules. It happened to me, when Flickr informed me that if I wanted to keep storing my nearly 3,000 photo files there, I’d have to pay up. I know, it’s only Flickr. Why am I getting so upset? Read my latest The Upgrade column and I think you’ll understand why.

A real spectacle. Like Google Glass Before it, Snap Spectacles, camera-sporting eyewear for the SnapChat experience, didn’t quite set the world on fire. To be fair, Spectacles at least looked like normal sunglasses and they were sold through those adorable self-serve kiosks that popped up all over the U.S. Snap has redesigned them to little effect, but they’re not done yet. Now the company plans a new, more expensive pair with two cameras. This sounds like the opposite of a good idea.

Happy Black Friday. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the U.S., which means we’re 24 hours from the official kick-off of all those Black Friday Sales. Actually, strike that. Most retailers couldn’t wait until we’d moved onto T-Day leftovers and started posting deals a few days ago. I kind of hate this. Still, shopping will happen, many of you will buy screens, and why not save as much money as you can – now and later. This link has a nice running list of excellent Black Friday deals.
