Fermented Strategies - Craft Brewing Industry Newsletter
I hope you are all hanging in there. I wanted to keep this short and sweet and provide you with a couple of items.
1- Make sure to sign up for our Fermented Strategies Slack Group. This slack group is where we are posting information and analysis as we get it and has a centralized set of resources to help you out. There is also a lot of good questions in the community that fellow breweries are helping each other out with. We are also hosting office hours each day to help answer your questions and guide you through everything that is going on. Here is the link to sign up. https://join.slack.com/t/fermentedstrategies/shared_invite/zt-cm54wv6q-7GUiF~VU0sztMPF3eleGNw
2- We put out a video today regarding the emergency paid sick leave and FMLA provisions recently put into law. For all breweries under 50 employees, you will need to take action if you plan to opt out, but with some of the stimulus in the Senate bill, it might not be to your benefit to opt out.
We have also created a living breathing document that we are updating as we get further information from the Department of Labor as to how the paid sick leave works and how to opt out.
3- We are going through the Senate bill now as we speak and will be providing some guidance as there are lots of items in the bill that will impact a brewery. We will send along that guidance when its completed.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have.
