In keeping with our theme of customer experience, I wanted to comment on the recently released whitepaper from Ekos on Taproom Management, which you can get the link to below. In their taproom toolkit, one of the things that was provided was a Taproom Operational Analysis. This analysis give you the opportunity to do a self audit based on some questions provided in the toolkit. There is one of the questions listed that I thought was great to not only ask of yourself as the owner of the brewery but to ask your staff working in the taproom. That question was: What are the biggest obstacles in the taproom? This is a great question to think through from a variety of viewpoints. What do we have going on in our taproom that stands in the way of our customers having a good customer experience? Does our taproom contribute to having customers spend more money on each visit? Do customers understand everything we sell? Having your team answer this question will help provide insight into how you can make your taproom facilitate a better customer experience.
