If you know me at all, you know I have a lot of interests (leadership, technology, travel, productivity, music, etc). This newsletter will be just some of my musings and curation of content from the week. It will be weekly, sometimes less, never more.

Hey friends, thanks for subscribing, sharing and reading every week. You inspire me to keep going! As I mentioned last week, I want to hear from you about your pick that I can share. What’s an app, book, article, service, product that you love or helped you to grow. I would love to share it with the people subscribing to this weekly list! So reply right now or after you read this weekly list with one thing that you want to share with others. What I’ve found is, I need to stop myself in thinking that “everyone already knows about that,” because I’ve found that to not be true over and over again. Before we get to the list, I want to share with you a quote that I read this week that inspired me - “The difference between interest and passion is action. - Tim Elmore”. I want to be biased toward action … in fact, that’s where I’ve found my greatest passions. Happy Friday!

How To Butcher An Entire Cow: Every Cut Of Meat Explained | Bon Appetit
I love steak!!! This video was so fascinating I watched the whole video to the end. I’ve always seen pictures of where on the cow certain cuts of meat come from. But to see an actual butcher take an entire cow and cut up it up to look like the meat that we would buy in the store was amazing. There were also cuts that I haven’t been familiar with and wanted to try based on his recommendations. Check out this video and get more educated about the steaks you love to eat!

Make two lists
Some people might think Seth Godin is simple. Others think he’s profound. I think he’s simply profound. I don’t know how he writes so little and makes you think so much. This “Make two lists” is so inspiring and insightful. It’s a SHORT read so please click on it and read it … it might change your world. It’s simply profound … especially the 2nd to the last line!

Priority No. 1 for Phil Mickelson - Golf Digest
Phil Mickelson withdrew from the US Open last weekend in order to attend his daughter’s high school graduation, continuing his career-long commitment to put family first.
Why it’s inspirational: The five-time golf Major Championship winner has never won the coveted US Open title, finishing second on six occasions. “It’s the tournament I want to win the most, but this is one of those moments where you look back on life and you just don’t want to miss it.” Just like Jack Nicklaus, who said he could have “worked harder” and won more majors but his family was always first priority, Mickelson reminds us dads that there will always be more work to do, but our kids are only with us a little while. So, if forced to choose between family and work, go home. Because, like Tiger Woods, you can be the GOAT, but if you lose your family, does it really even matter? That’s class, that’s inspiring.

Taking Feedback Impersonally
Do you like personal feedback? I think the answer to that for most people depends on what kind. But whatever kind it is, we all have something to learn from it and my belief is that those who choose to share with you honest helpful feedback are the ones who truly care about your personal growth and development. Our challenge when people give us personal feedback is to remember that it’s not an attack on our character but to be more effective. This was a good read with some practical suggestions on how to receive feedback better. I especially liked the quote from Barak Obama about it. Hope it’s helpful to you.

North Point InsideOut: Nothing Ordinary Live Part 1 - Available Now - YouTube
This is a live recording of their current album “Northing Ordinary” that just dropped today. There are some great songs on this album and love hearing the energy in a live environment. What I love about this is that InsideOut is their high school environment at the church. And even though everyone on stage who sing and write the songs are adults, these songs are birthed through their students engagement. So, when they had this live recording at a huge arena, the floor admission was only students and the rest of the arena was for adults. I’m sure the picture of seeing the students worshipping on the floor must have been an incredible sight to see as an adult in the higher seats. In fact, maybe the stage wasn’t the people singing, but the students who were on the floor lifting up their hands to their Heavenly Father. Now that’s thinking Next Generation! Listen to it on Apple Music, Spotify or Google Play.
