If you know me at all, you know I have a lot of interests (leadership, technology, travel, productivity, music, etc). This newsletter will be just some of my musings and curation of content from the week. It will be weekly, sometimes less, never more.

Having an extra week between my newsletters made it actually tougher to curate only 5 links for my weekly list! I guess I’ll save the other ones for other weeks. But, I did cheat a little and added a bonus one. :) Today’s weekly list is focused more on Life and Leadership but I think it will be helpful for everyone. Here’s a challenge for you … even though you might not be doing weekly newsletter like me, you ARE still a curator of content. Even as you read this newsletter each week, you are mining out what you like/dislike or helpful/not helpful. My challenge to you is to SHARE that curation with someONE. Imagine, if we were able to share with someone in our sphere of influence something that we’ve learned … how would it help all of us to grow? So maybe start small, start simple, start with this read. If there’s ONE thing that intrigues you or you learn something from it, share it with ONE individual. Because that’s all I’m doing with this newsletter. And like me, you’ll be surprised how much of an impact it has on others!

Why Artists Are Never Happy
I love this video about creativity. We are all artists as we all create something. But how many times are you frustrated, dissatisfied or not content with your work? This video gives some insights on how breakthroughs actually happen. Watching a video like this, reminds me that many of us feel similarly around creativity. It’s one of our deepest temptations to stop creating. Maybe it’s because God Himself is the Creator of all things! And when we ARE creating, we’re being like God. So watch this video, and don’t give up, and get out there and create and re-create!

The Primary Barrier Stopping You From Everything You Want In Life
Jack Canfield once said, “ Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” This article reminded me of something that Pete Richardson (Paterson Center) told me when I was getting my LifePlan certification. He said, “ These days, when I see fear in my life, I walk towards it and open the door, because it’s usually an indicator that there’s something amazing on the other side.” Wow, I never thought about fear in that way. Now of course, sometimes fear is the warning that danger is approaching and something is unsafe. But many times, fear is what prevents us from doing great things and things that God calls us to do. What if the next time we felt this feeling of fear, we explored it, rather than ran from it? Read this article and live with boldness!

Fear{less} with Tim Ferriss
I love me some Tim Ferriss (author, entrepreneur, angel investor). His podcast is one of my favorite because I’m a learner, and I learn so much from him. He actually had a TV show before that I watched and LOVED called “The Tim Ferriss Experiment” where would learn to be an expert in something in one episode (1 week). Well, he’s got another TV show and I’m really excited about it. It’s called Fear{less}. The “less” is in parentheses because the objective is to teach you to fear less, not to be fearless (nice tie in with the previous link, eh? :)). I can wait to watch it!

There is no right answer
I’m always amazed at Seth Godin’s blog posts. They are always so short and so simple, yet full of punch and profundity. In fact, it’s so short that if I summarize it here, you wouldn’t even have to click on the link and read it yourself. May we never hold out (in a decision) simply waiting for the “correct one.“ But it has to do with right and wrong answers and you GOT to you read it!!

Why You Need “White Space” in Your Daily Routine
“In design, ‘white space’ is negative space. It’s not blank space because it has a purpose.” Yes! Just like a sheet of paper or the pages on a book needs the white space of margin for you to not feel overwhelmed, we also need that in our lives. What would it look like to add “white space” in your life?
