If you know me at all, you know I have a lot of interests (leadership, technology, travel, productivity, music, etc). This newsletter will be just some of my musings and curation of content from the week. It will be weekly, sometimes less, never more.
Here in the Dominican Republic airport leaving to go back home but I’m committed to sending this weekly email out, even with bad internet and no computer. 🙂
I’m so grateful for those who’ve shared my weekly newsletter with your friends as the subscriber list continues to grow every week! My hope is that it would add some value to your week and that there would be maybe one takeaway that would be helpful.Â
I also want to let you know that I’ve just updated my personal website (kyeschung.com). It has some of the current things that I’m doing (LifePlan, Slingshot, Coaching) so I would love for you to check it out!
[MUSIC] Bono has a great point here about Christian Music
As I mentioned in my weekly list #9, I’ve started reading Psalms and Proverbs every day. But as you read Psalms, it’s amazing how raw and honest David is as he writes.  So if the Psalms are really the songs then why does all Christian music resolve the tension in 5 minutes or less? Is there room in our theology and the way “Christian” songs are written where there isn’t a bow at the end of it everytime? Could there be more honesty like Psalms? Pretty interesting to think about.
If you’re wired like me, you are wired for progress. In fact, I would say I’m addicted to forward progress. And because I like forward movement, it’s hard to pause a look back to celebrate the wins. But what if looking back is actually a strategy to gain momentum to move forward? It can be and this article has some practical steps to do so.
This app just came out yesterday and you can just see that Google and AI (artificial intelligence) is getting more powerful. It’s exciting to think about the future with this time of technology. It’s way better than Siri even though it’s available on Android AND iOS (iPhone/iPad). It’s free and worth a download.Â
I’ve discovered in recent years how important asking questions is in discovering and self-discovery. But the simple question of WHY is very powerful. In fact, a guy at Toyota coined the 5 Why’s to get to the root of any problem. It’s actually very helpful and very simple. You need to try it on for size.  So many times we give the simple superficial answer to things but when we can answer the question of WHY, it drives a deeper insight.Â
When traveling, the worst thing is when you run out of battery on your iPhone or iPad. There are a TON of batter chargers out there but I love this one because it has a built-in plug and a built-in lightning cable (for your iPhone/iPad). That means you don’t have to have any additional wires to carry around. Just the battery. Brilliant. Also it will charges really fast and it will charge your phone 3 times. So you can share it with people you travel with (read my kid’s phones!). Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.Â
