Book Review: The Chosen Sacrifice
The Chosen Sacrifice is the 3rd and final chapter in the Tampa FBI Series by Author C. Soto, @AuthorSoto! Soto’s series contains dark and disturbing themes that may be triggering for some readers. I found the storyline in The Chosen Sacrifice to be quite compelling! See my Goodreads review here:

Book Review: Magical Manhattan
Magical Manhattan is the latest installment of the series–a delightful mashing of fantasy, romance, and alternative history–by A.C. Merkel, @Blink_Drive. If you are unacquainted with this unique series, please start by reading Her Name is Murder, and join the fun! My Goodreads review of Magical Manhattan is here:

Book Review: The Cookie Caper
The Cookie Caper is the latest in the brilliant middle grade Kids’ Court series by the multi-talented author Caron Pescatore, @CaronPescatore. The first book in the series is The Doll Dilemma, so it may be best to start with that one, but it is not essential that you do. The Cookie Caper is the latest case that is certain to fascinate young readers! See my Goodreads review here:

Spotlight on: Napa, CA
My husband, daughter, 2 dogs, & I recently had a delightful stay in Napa, California. The Napa area is known for wineries, but if you want to go wine tasting, get reservations in advance! I did not, and I’m not a drinker, so I focused on finding restaurants that welcomed our dogs. Downtown Napa has a nice walkway along the Napa River. We had a wonderful dinner there at Morimoto, 610 Main St, the namesake restaurant of Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. (Unfortunately, we did not see Chef Morimoto, but the food was great!) The outdoor patio area has fine views of the Napa River. For dessert, The Vintage Sweet Shoppe, 530 Main St, is a great bet. They have Double Rainbow ice cream and a fine selection of chocolate and other candies! On another evening, we had a happy dining experience at Fume, 4050 Byway E.
