This email is a day late because I am writing you from beautiful Arizona. On Wednesday night, my husband and I packed up the kiddos and puppy for a 17-hour drive. It was as fun and chaotic as you would imagine, but we made it safe and sound yesterday. We were also exhausted so the newsletter was delayed.
I am here in AZ for the HER Way Retreat. I will be attending and facilitating a Self Care Sunday session! The event sold out this year, but you should definitely get on the list if you want a chance to attend next year. Earlier this week, I facilitated a self care workshop with the staff at fintech startup Synctera, (need a wellness workshop? Let’s talk!). K. Cole Wellness is growing y'all!
Between packing, planning,and facilitating – this week has felt like a frenzy of activity. Overwhelm has been hovering around. My affirmation all week has been “I can only do one thing at a time.” Telling myself that over and over has helped to curb guilt especially when I have not responded to things quick enough or had lingering things on the to do list.
Trying to do anything else would have caused unnecessary stress during one of the busiest weeks of my life. That affirmation is helping me to manage my energy. What is your go to thought when you are in the middle of a busy week?
As you prepare for today, take it one step at a time. That is all you can do and that is ok.
