Before I dive in take a deep breath. Now exhale. Do that again. and Pause.
Now take a look in the room our outside and count how many green things you see. Now count how many red things you see.
Take another deep breath. And exhale.
Ok, now let’s get into this week’s newsletter.
There are some new friends here from the Creative Mornings crew that I want to welcome! I did a workshop for Creative Mornings last week and it was an absolute blast! I appreciate you showing up and am excited that you are here in our community.
As we enter into summer, I encourage you to have some fun. Remember how much fun it was to finally get to summer break when you were in elementary school? Now we may not get the long summer break now as adults, but we can certainly approach our day with some curiosity.
Curiosity has been my theme for the past year and half. I decided that instead of being so hard on myself, I would be curious about all the things about myself and see change as a fun game. Now it is not always easy, but it has helped me to find things that really work for me and my life.
One thing I got curious about over the past few months, was other wellness traditions. That led me to learn about Ayurveda, a many thousands of year Indian tradition, that is all about creating a life where you are aware of your energy and find ways to constantly stay balanced. Last month, I actually completed certification with the Chopra Center (yep, founded by Deepak Chopra) and now I am a certified Chopra Health Instructor
I am loving incorporating this method into my work because it is about using all five senses to create routines and rituals that make us feel more balanced and grounded. So many ways to do this in fun ways y'all!
If you want to learn about Ayurveda, I am collaborating with Mango Networx & Ethnic events on their upcoming Ayurveda Wellness workshop on July 10. It is a free workshop where you will learn from some Ayurvedic experts and I am leading some creative wellness exercises, too! Join us and register here: https://ethnic.events/listing/ayurveda-wellness-seminar/
Keep staying curious! You never know where it might lead you on your journey.
