It's time to celebrate! 🎊 🎉

Hey y'all!
What does celebration mean to you?
This has been the question that has emerged for me twice this week. On Monday morning, I was feeling good about hitting some milestones in my business. I was going to gloss over it, but I decided to take it to Facebook and share with my social media peeps. The love I received made me feel really good, too! Sharing what I am proud of with my community is something that brings me so much joy. I didn’t realize it until earlier this week.
The celebration didn’t stop and while on a call with the amazing Susan Cranston, I was telling her about my upcoming book that will be published in January. She asked me “What are you going to do to celebrate when the book is published?” I paused for a moment and really had to sit with this. She paused and held space for me to think of an answer.
I told her that I wanted to get a manicure/pedicure at a really nice spa and some dinner. I have been wanting to do it for some time, but have not gotten around to it. She nudged me excitedly and said, “Ooh you can do an overnight!” When I thought about that, it literally gave me goosebumps!
At first, I tried to back out it in my mind. That seemed like too much, but was it really? Celebration is based off of what I desire not anyone else’s preference. With her help and encouragement, I declared that I would be celebrating myself with an overnight stay, spa time and a delicious dinner! It felt so good to celebrate myself and also to plan a celebration that is meaningful to me.
I encourage you to really dig into celebrating yourself. Start celebrating yourself wherever you are at. Notice what you are doing. Don’t leave any stone unturned.
Then, decide how you will celebrate what you are doing.
And if this feels hard to do (which is totally normal), then find someone to hold space while you figure out what kind of celebration would make you feel really good.
You are doing so much. You are making so much happen. Notice yourself. Notice what you are doing. Acknowledge your growth. This is self care–basking in the joy of staying committed to yourself.
