Hey y'all!
The past few months have been anything but normal, but I am grateful for all the stirring up that is happening. I have been thinking a lot about what my values are and how to make sure that those values are in alignment with everything that I do. Alignment is no joke. It is a series of small adjustments that you have to keep making until something clicks. Sometimes it feels tedious and confusing but worthwhile in the end.
For me, I am realizing that a lot of my work is centered on creativity and self care. And that I want to find ways to make income that align more with that.
I haven’t quite defined my point of view but I am starting to allow my work to flow in that direction. I worked with an amazing client to develop a program focused on helping organizations transform their culture. She had ideas and over a series of conversations( that happened usually in coffeeshops) I helped her figure out her unique point of view. We were able to outline of her ideas, develop a framework; and create an offering of programs focused on her work. I am really proud of that work and hope to do more consulting like that in the future.
On the self care front, I have been diving into my work with Unbothered Black Girl Collective. I hosted a virtual retreat in May for 12 amazing women focused on creating space. The energy that I felt after doing that was indescribable. I am going to keep taking steps and am hosting another virtual retreat in June. I hope to turn this into a program that I can do with organizations and groups, so stay tuned! I also want to plan an in person retreat, too!
I am taking steps to evolve my work and am allowing it to happen with ease. Small steps taken consistently will add up to big wins.
How are the current times shifting how you think about your life? What adjustments are you making?
