Hey friends,
Today I was out to lunch with a good friend of mine. Addison and I met a couple of years ago at a youth social impact summit, and have stayed in touch ever since.
We chose a spot in Northbridge, a Vietnamese restaurant he’d been to before and spoken highly of.
It fascinates me how these types of restaurants generally have a very humble, unassuming exterior, boring furniture, old wallpaper and quite often a paper-based order management system.
Compare this to the place over the road. New signage, modern branding, indoor plants, flash lighting fixtures & the latest point of sale system.
Guess who had the line out the door.
See, whether you’re in hospitality, or any other business, if you start with incredible products & services, the word of mouth they generate and the customer loyalty you’ll receive will far outpace the latest marketing “trend” or buzzword.
Be the Vietnamese restaurant. The prettiest wrapping will never make up for an average birthday present..
Just a thought for the day…enjoy this edition of Curiosity Notes.
