There’s No End to Just Rolling with It

Just Rolling with It

September 2 · Issue #62 · View online

Pursuing our dreams, not theirs.

Ideas on balancing entrepreneurial drive with wellness, bringing to life new ideas while living well ourselves and making space for what matters in a well-balanced life.

Have you “made it”?
Maybe you’ve “arrived”.
I haven’t. I don’t think I ever will.
This used to trouble me. It doesn’t trouble me that much anymore.
The shift feels liberating. I feel grateful for it.
The dream pushers push the dream. The dream has an end-state. You reach it when you’ve “made it” or “arrived”.
Just rolling with it has no end-state. There’s no making anything or arriving anywhere. We just keep rolling along.
The past 6+ months felt hopeful. I found myself starting to become comfortable. I started feeling like I “arrived”, at least a little bit.
I began catching myself. On one hand, I’ve learned it’s OK for things to feel OK. At the same time, I’ve also learned that suffering happens when I start grasping for that OK feeling and trying to make it solid
I’m writing this as a reminder to myself. I hope you find it beneficial too.
It’s been said many, many times, that “life’s the destination” or something like that ;) While I usually recoil at the statement’s overuse, I believe it’s also true.
That’s why I’m reminding myself that there’s no end to Just Rolling with It. Just rolling with it’s the journey. I feel grateful to be rolling on it. I actually don’t want to arrive anymore. The journey’s where it’s at.
My gratitude to each of you for joining me on it _/|\_
How about you? Are you striving to “make it” or “arrive”? Or are you feel happy to be rolling along on your journey?

Catch you next week, with my gratitude,
P.S. - I’d appreciate it if you’d consider sending this to one person you feel may appreciate it. Realizing people connect with these thoughts, though replies and new subscribers, fuels me to keep sending these each week.
