I’ve written about the messy middle ground. It’s the idea that a messy and uncomfortable period happens on the road toward positive change.
JRWI has helped me learn how to work with this in difficult times rather than try and numb myself to them.
I feel grateful for this.
I’ve been thinking about another idea over the past 5 months. It’s one I’m referring to as creative destruction or constructive destruction.
This is the idea that something may need to be destroyed before something more beneficial replaces it.
The thing destroyed could be a concept or preconceived notion or idea. It could be a relationship with a person, place, or thing.
The ideas complement each other. For example, the messy middle ground may emerge from an act of construction destruction.
I’m still working through these ideas and their relationships to each other.
In the meantime, please let me know if they resonate with you and how they do.
Catch you next week,
