Welcome to Shut Up and Listen — a newsletter about all of the podcasts I listened to this week.

As a human woman living in the year of our Lord two thousand and eighteen, I often find it difficult to be alone with my thoughts.
Because of this, I listen to podcasts constantly: while I’m showering, brushing my teeth, eating dinner, commuting, even falling asleep.
I also have the attention span of a goldfish. Or, to put a more positive spin on it, I have a curious, restless mind, and extremely varied interests!!! This means I tend to sample a wide variety of different shows and genres within a given week.
From comedy to entrepreneurship to musicology to astrology, I listen to it all, so you don’t have to. (But like… you should, because the vast majority of these podcasts are really good. That’s kind of the point of this newsletter).
Without further ado, here’s the first list! Thanks for being here!
(If you open these links on mobile, they’ll take you directly to the Apple Podcast app—so if an episode looks interesting, you can download it and start listening right away)
