Jeff Bezos is pretty much the digital Sam Walton. Besides low prices, Sam was notorious for visiting his competitors stores and applying their new ideas to his business model. He had an obsession for low prices, but he was driven to figure out ways to constantly improve his business for his customers. While Walmart has stumbled in its ways, Jeff Bezos has applied Sam’s mentality with Amazon. For Sam and Jeff, it wasn’t about the money, something else drives them.
According to Sam, “Here’s the thing: money never has meant that much to me, not even in the sense of keeping score.
