This list includes 3 stories per week that are worth your attention and maybe a video or podcast for fun. This list will help you challenge yourself to do better and think better.

Hi Tribe,

I hope y'all had a great week.
Next Friday I will be interviewing Eric Barker author of Barking Up the Wrong Tree: The Surprising Science Behind Why Everything You Know About Success Is (Mostly) Wrong. If you have any questions for Eric, please email me and I’ll ask him during my interview with him at Google. The talk will be posted to our youtube channel in a few weeks.
Eric’s book focuses on common success myths and unearths the true drivers of success. The book is well researched and Eric’s writing style is smooth. Eric agreed to share with us a chapter from the book. This chapter is on networking, which transitions nicely into my next project.
I’ve been radio silent the last few weeks because I’m working with gohighbrow.com  to create a course on building and managing a network. Highbrow is a micro online course platform that provides you with bite sized lessons via email that can be finished within 5 minutes.
I’m distilling all of my networking know how (mostly blunders and a few successes) into a premium course.

The course will teach you how to build and manage a network that will improve your life and those around you. A true networker is a builder, someone who seeks first to help others (in the forms of new information, connections, sweat equity, or expertise) without any expectations of payback. The course will include clear action steps on how to: develop a builder’s mindset, experiment in the field of networking, develop systems to attract people to you, and turbo charge your network by connecting the right people. This course will be written for introverts, extroverts, and ambiverts, so no matter what your style is you will find actionable steps to improve your network.
If you’re interested, I need people to help me beta test my course. The work involved would be to answer some questions via Google forms and read some of the course emails (5 mins reading time and at Max 10 emails). I plan to send out the first emails on Monday, August 14th. The benefit for you is you’ll have access to premium content and you’ll sharpen your networking skills. If you’re interested, send me an email at jt@growwithjordan.com.

Always Be Learning,
Jordan
