Happy Friday everyone! This week I’ve got an updated post from Brian Frank on using research to reduce the risk of building something people won’t use. I’ve also included great articles on the ‘internal design vs. external design’ debate and business software UX and NPS benchmarks (look at how low some of those scores are!).
This is fantastic (but detailed) read on business software UX benchmarks. The study of over 1,000 participants found that usability accounts for between 30% and 60% of the variation in Net Promoter Scores. A positive experience leads customers to recommend a product.
In terms of time and cognitive strain, online forms tend to be a pain. Thankfully, features like autofill, social sign-in, password managers, conversational interfaces, and chat bots are here to save the day.
