Issue #25: UX and change management

Hi Everyone! I’m enjoying a day off today so have kept this week’s newsletter brief. Last night I attended a talk at a uxWaterloo event where the speaker was asked a question about UX and managing the change that comes along with new design. Earlier in the week I had a meeting with an IT manager who expressed concerns over effectively managing change as processes and systems evolve quickly.
The work we do in UX has the potential to affect massive change. UX projects change how it feels to use software while UX-focused workflows and design thinking change business processes and established norms.
This week I’ve included one post on mitigating change aversion among users and another covering organizational change.
Enjoy!
