My latest piece in Forbes Israel: Five Reasons You Need a Content Strategy in 2022
I didn’t noodle too long on this idea of going back to my roots to help empower professionals to create content. I’m going to continue and further develop this idea, particularly how young professionals can use content to forward their careers as well as how professionals in tech and venture can build thought leadership.

Jordan Peterson - How To Turn On Your Inner Beast And Accomplish Anything: It has been some time since I have watched a video that has had such a profound impact on how I interpret my experiences (particularly struggle). The feedback I received on the After Skool Mike Tyson video on rising to your highest potential was not great given his checkered past, as this video’s title does sound a bit click-bate like. It’s important to support up and coming creators, and I’ve liked the daily philosophy content produced on this YouTube channel Better Chapter.
Both JP and Joe Rogan are controversial figures but this short video goes beyond that and taps into some of the super stories we use to make sense of our short experience on this planet. The very idea that we must face difficult challenges in order to be achieve our highest self is not a new idea (one of the controversies is that JP is against safe spaces, as we must challenge those difficult internal emotions instead of run away from them). The video addresses the idea that facing down challenges helps us grow biologically (best explained in the video) as well as covers the narrative that we must save our father figure (to tap into the knowledge of our ancestors) to fully self-actualize. JP covers science, therapy, and the knowledge we keep in our body to reach our highest potential.
The question is how we create meaning that empowers us as opposed to disempowers us when we interpret experiences from this world. This is similar to the Stoic idea that things are not bad or good on their own, but the meaning we ascribe to them offers context, so best to make it in our own interest, and use the challenges we can’t avoid to help us grow.
Key Takeaways:
⚪️ Facing the Dark Night of the Soul: We must walk this path through the dark valley on our journey to climb the mountain.
⚪️ Saving our father figure to save ourselves: Since our ancestor’s time we understand life’s experiences through these super stories.
⚪️ Suffering gives life meaning: It’s going to happen, so best to find ways suffering can actually improve your outlook on life.
