5 easy ways to get into the Rosh Hashanah mindset this year: Now this is something different, some Jewish content that is actually practical. I’ve been beating this drum for some time, that while Judaism (and other religions) offer foundational guide rails for the right values in living a meaningful life… they don’t always offer many tactical solutions which can be universally applied when facing challenges in today’s complex world.
But I can get behind some of the ideas featured in this piece such as “Embrace the practice of free writing.” If you want clarity in your life, there is no better practice then Morning Pages, journaling first thing in the AM. That will also help you get closer to your belief, in that you get clear on your values, and closer to the reason for being on this planet. But we are now living through (according to Jewish faith), the days which set the precedent for the coming year. As such, we can elevate ourselves, and do that by getting into that Rosh Hashana mindset or “vibe”… meaning that this is a good time as any to level up. Jan 1st does not have to be the only time we press the reset button, and ask ourselves what are the most important goals we want to accomplish in the coming months.
Articles like this are a good start, but we more need advice like this… I just have a feeling when I speak with younger people that there is so much information out there, but people are more lost and confused than ever. I don’t know if there is one “true” way, but a path with the right values is at least a start… and if it’s part of one’s heritage, that can make that journey even more powerful. Shana Tova V’Metuka.
Key Takeaways:
⚪️ Reassess your schedule: There is nothing more valuable than your time, know how you’re spending your precious days.
⚪️ Reach out to loved ones: It does not need to be stated… but sometimes we need to be reminded.
⚪️ Press the cosmic reset button: Sometimes we need to be forced to reassess.
