Charlottesville: Race and Terror: I tend to avoid the frenzy of the media cycle (and I have mixed thoughts on VICE News coverage, particularly on the Middle East), but this is an important video to watch around some of the major trends literally tearing our country apart. On a similar topic more familiar to the readers of this newsletter, The Culture Wars Have Come to Silicon Valley is certainly not surprising given everything that is happening in our nation at the moment.

⚪️Rosh Hashanah Recipe Contest. Submit your favorite family recipe!* The top four will be prepared at a competitive recipe testing… and the winning recipe will be made for Rosh Hashanah dinner (see event below)! Recipes must be received by Thursday, August 31. 
*Fine print: Recipes welcome from any nationality/background. Recipes must be biblically kosher (i.e.: no shellfish or pork, no milk and meat mixed together). Recipes must be clear and replicable.
