I just did a thing!!
Hi there! Welcome to the first edition of my very own newsletter. Welcome! I can’t wait to start this journey with you!😁
Let me shortly introduce the concept of my newsletter: Each issue, I will share one Tweet, one trend and one thread:
  • Tweet: There’s a lot of interesting, inspiring, motivating and entertaining content on Twitter. Each issue, I will highlight one valuable Tweet and I will tell you why I find that Tweet valuable.
  • Trend: People and brands love viral trends. So if I see an interesting trend or if I see a brand post something funny, I will share it with you.
  • Thread: I will share threads that include notes from Twitter Space Rooms, webinars and podcasts.
Let’s get right into it!

Tweet: Lurk a Little less
90% of internet users are lurkers. As content creators, we don’t know what lurkers do, because they don’t show themselves: They don’t like or respond to our content. So do lurkers even like our content at all?
Yes they do! But they just don’t tell us. Earlier this week I wrote an article on how lurkers are secretly our biggest fans.
Brianne added an important note to my article: Let’s all lurk a little less, and let’s tell people when their work has helped us.
When you appreciate other creators, they will be motivated to create even more and better content for you.
It’s a great reminder for myself too. I save and bookmark a lot of online content. But sometimes I forgot to show my appreciation.
Next time you see something valuable on the internet: Tell the creator by liking, sharing or responding to their content! They will love it. Just like you will love consuming more of their content!

This post by @JelleTells is a reminder that your content has a bigger impact than you may think.

I hope we all lurk a little less and let people know when their work has helped us.
Trend: Brands get in the jolly mood
October is over. It’s Christmas time now. Radio stations have resumed playing Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas is You. And Brands get in the jolly mood as well!
Apparently, October 31st and November 1st are two completely different days! Click on the Tweet below to see Brands share the Christmas Spirit!

Thread: Starting a newsletter
Are you planning to start a newsletter too? When I wrote my first newsletter, I was definitely inspired by Kushaan and Amanda, who are both prolific Twitter and newsletter writers. A while ago, Chi asked them how to start and maintain a newsletter.
Here are some useful tips:
  • The more you consume, the more and better you can create
  • Force yourself to learn what content is amplification-worthy: What does your audience want to read about?
  • Share, collaborate and shout out to make your newsletter grow
