Hey friends. πŸ‘‹πŸ»
Hope you’ve had a great week and welcome to another issue of my weekly newsletter! 😊
At the end of October, I published my first book to Gumroad. Immediately, I found myself constantly refreshing my Gumroad revenue stats but found the standard dashboard app lacking in functionality and features.
I’ve read so many times that the best projects are those that solve the problems that you experience in everyday-life. And so, over the past couple of weeks, I’ve set about building a Gumroad client for creators to track their sales and products. πŸŽ‰

πŸ‘‹πŸ» Introducing Milestones!
Milestones is the perfect companion for all Gumroad sellers to view their real-time sales, transaction and product data! And with Push Notifications enabled, you’ll never miss the buzz of being notified of a new sale! 😁
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve smashed out the MVP iPhone version and am really happy that it’s now available for pre-order on the App Store!
In the meantime, if you’d like to have a sneak peak, the App is also available on TestFlight for beta testing.

πŸ’Έ Pricing Strategy
Milestones is different to all other apps I’ve built in one fundamental way; it’s target market is fellow revenue-generating Gumroad creators as opposed to your average App Store end-consumer.
Unlike many average App Store consumers, where there is often the expectation that software should be free; Gumroad creators have an understanding of the effort involved in building software, and hence are more willing to pay for an app that will benefit their business.
I’ve spent a fair chunk of time thinking about the pricing strategy for the app and have decided to offer different tiers depending on the MTR (monthly tracked revenue) that the user is earning.
This is what I’ve decided on:
Free Plan
  • MTR less than $150.
  • Free
Launch Plan
  • MTR less than $1,000.
  • Subscription of $1.99 a month.
Growth Plan
  • MTR less than $5,000.
  • Subscription of $5.99 a month.
Indie Plan
  • MTR unlimited.
  • Subscription of $9.99 a month.
Lifetime Plan
  • MTR unlimited.
  • $49.99 one-time purchase.
We’ll see how it goes! πŸ’ͺ🏻
πŸš— Roadmap of Future Features
To validate that Milestones has legs, so far I’ve just built the minimum, core features that a Gumroad dashboard should have. There’s no point wasting days or weeks building functionality if the app isn’t going to get used!
That being said, if the app does indeed gain traction, I’ve got a whole host of features and functionality that I’ll be adding to the app.Β
This is my list of initial features to add once the MVP is live:
  • πŸ–₯ iPad and Mac support.
  • πŸ“Š Charts and graphs section.
  • πŸ’² Support for multiple currencies.
  • πŸ“… Filtering of sales data by product and date.
  • πŸ“± Addition of iOS Home Screen widgets.
If you’ve got any other features or functionality that you’d like to see then I’d love to hear from you! ❀️
