Towards a Sustainable & Inclusive World

The world is hurtling towards a climate emergency - the developed world too embroiled in its own internal battles, China has still not figured how to lead, and India is stretching its limbs.
Last month saw some dramatic announcements coming from the west, the most important being Germany considering eliminating coal altogether in the next two decades. China meanwhile has been investing heavily in solar power and electric vehicles, but somehow has been unable to engage with other countries to follow its example.
Yet, the best news comes from India where its leaders have finally started to think big. The days of tactical decisions still continue and much is required to span the space between tall talk and substantive action, but at least some are daring.
Welcome heat wave, it seems we will see much more of you in the coming years.
