human works design - building meaningful futures

April 26 · Issue #24 · View online

'human works' empowers the game-changers of tomorrow to build meaningful futures. This newsletter is for leaders and change-makers, who want to elevate humanity by living consciously, designing conscious business that have a purpose with sustainable profit, and contributing to better systems for the diverse communities in our society, for future generations and for our planet.

We are extremely joyful to announce our 2nd international Children First Academy in Ibiza, July 1-4, after an amazing and sold out start in Istanbul early April.
Confirmed participations for Ibiza workshop include Yuri Van Geest co-author of the highly acclaimed best selling business book “Exponential Organizations” (top 3 business book of all time for/from Silicon Valley) and Raimo van der Klein, initiator of T.E.A.M framework and Innovation Strategist, together with spiritual and artistic contributions from our network.
The last two years we have been organising lots of workshops with organizational leaders, children, parents and experts exploring new models on how to create meaningful futures on a systemic level. We have played a lot and allowed ourselves to be inspired and guided by children. Soon we figured out how children think, play, dare to try and learn continuously has been the missing ingredients for inclusive, sustainable and conscious innovations.
This work and research resulted in the creation of a manifesto designed by children from 20 countries inviting adults to trust, grow, create and play together. The principles of this manifesto led us to design and curate methodologies to enable adult leaders in public and private organisations to
1- prioritise children’s wellbeing in all decisions and measure their impact.
2- include children in the design and innovation processes, not as test users but instead as empowered design leaders and co-creators.
3- transform their organizational culture; unlock creativity, boost curiosity and courage to innovate, via design playing inspired by children.
We prototyped projects, designed products and implemented learning programs with Children First World principles, in partnership with organisations like Turkcell, Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association, Joint Idea and Koc University.
Children First World manifesto and principles organically started spreading amongst a growing community of children (and teenagers), parents, designers, artists, academicians, school executives, experts working with children, designers, futurists, philosophers, innovation strategists, entrepreneurs, technologists, architects, business owners and researchers.
Because we are all children first.
