Emotions can be overwhelming, but they are also our body’s way of communicating with us. Emotions like fear and anger can signal we need help or represent the urge to stand up for ourselves. Emotions like joy, can show us that we are content and safe. Take some time to think about your emotions. Write about what purposes you think they serve.
