A sneak peek into my exciting month

Hi! My name is Hannah, and I am a high school student who is in love with biology, especially genetic engineering. I am also getting started in Machine Learning and learning more about its applications in genomics. Every month, I send a newsletter to update you on what I’ve been working on. Check it out and feel free to reach out to me if you like!

TKS Showcase Presentation
After months of hard work at The Knowledge Society, I gave a talk on Curing Diseases and Studying the Human Genome with CRISPR-Cas9 at the TKS Showcase. I also explained how I and other students at the Westwood Lab were able to double the lifespan of fruit flies.
Check out my video here! I hope you enjoy it, and I am always open to learning more!

Boss Ladies Panel @ TKSummit
From left to right: Jodi Kovitz (Founder & CEO of #movethedial), Tanisha Bassan (TKS Student, Quantum Computing), Hannah Le (TKS Student, Genetic Engineering)
At TKSummit, I was so excited to be on the panel with Jodi Kovitz, Founder & CEO of #movethedial - a global movement to advance women in technology. It was a wonderful opportunity for me to give back to the younger community and hopefully empower them to accomplish great things!
Shout out to Navid, Nadeem, and Jodi for making this happen!
Microsoft Recommendation
Other TKS students and I have the opportunity to visit Microsoft Canada and present in front of Microsoft education team on how we can scale the A.I. school to 50,000 high school students in Canada. We also had a conversation with President of Microsoft Canada, Kevin Peesker, on how to bolster the digital literacy for all Canadians.
Thank you Lia, Jason, Khalil, Karen, Kevin, and the Microsoft team for the great learning opportunity!
What's next?
I am taking Andrew Ng’s Machine Learning and UCSD Bioinformatics course on Coursera to explore how machine learning can be applied to genomics!
