Hi, I'm Sam. I love technology, especially the kind I can use in class. In fact, I love technology even if it isn't for class. I keep a list of resources. They're hand-picked by me, Sam.

Engage
I can talk a dog off a meat wagon. I love to talk. There are others like me. Not knowing how, or when to stop speaking. We will inhabit your class come August. You know us well. Trademarked by the hoarding of class discussion.
A legion of Sam’s are out there lurking, ever ready to morph discussion into a calamity.
Technology is a great equalizer. Engage has the potential to reduce inequities in your class discussion. You can not silence the Sam’s. Trust me on this. With Engage you can give a voice to those students not willing to battle for the title of class loud mouth.
Setup takes less time than it does to greet students before the bell, about 2 minutes. Moderate discussions, present polls, and receive feedback as students participate. Remember the adage, there’s no stupid question? Upgrade the popular motto with a positive outlook. There are no stupid questions, but there is a popular question. Students vote on questions that need teacher attention, displaying totals in real time.
Access Engage through a mobile browser. There is no app needed for students to play. Similar products with fewer features and extra baggage cost more than a fair market price. Engage is FREE. Give your students an equal stake in conversation using Engage.

Preso.tv
A confession. I’m a horrible student. No revelation there if you read the last section. I talk, fidget, and have an embarrassing inability to leave my phone alone. The phone? HTC One M9.
You could adopt a no cell phone policy. Battling the technology obsessive ninth grader who compulsively checks his inbox. It’s like a siren calling him, she wins every time.
Another option, give up the ghost. Find a way to make the cell phone become the servant. In turn, avoiding misery caused by cell phones lost from the sirens call.
PRESO.TV is a crafty platform. Microsoft word documents, pdf files, and powerpoint are pillars of content format. Preso.tv works with the format of your choice adding ways to tackle cell phone affliction during instruction. Students can find your presentation by location, logging in as guests without having to create a new account.
Students follow on their phone as you present. Take the lead and hold fast with Preso.tv, provide a four-course feast of learning. Your freshmen will prefer the meal over social media fodder any day.

Dreamscope
Recreate your photos with the code that has everyone full of talk. Google released code dubbed “Deep Dream”.
Dreamscope makes it possible to visit bat country. There is a Terrier headed Antelope in my yard… You can do the same for free. Below is a link to “Deep Dream” scene from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
