Golf On The Mind

June 22 · Issue #6 · View online

Weekly roundup of news from the golf world.

If you haven’t been living under a rock, I’m sure you know by now that Dustin Johnson won the US Open in spectacular style. A ridiculous drive followed by a stuffed 6 iron on 18 left him with a three footer to win by an unknown amount because the USGA didn’t know if they were going to penalize him at that point. Yup, that happened too.
Overall though, the most important thing that DJ taught the world of golf is that hitting fades off the tee isn’t a bad thing. Also, Pro Tracer is the best thing ever.
Oh, and DJ is number 3 in the world now. Rory continuing to fall.
This week is the Quicken Loans National, also known as Tiger’s event. It’s amazing how even though Tiger isn’t playing, he’s still the focus of the event this week. That’s just how iconic he was.
