Things have been quiet since the previous issue of the newsletter on the wind down to Christmas and New Year - although that doesn’t seem to have impacted the length of this newsletter! We’ve had our final peer support session of last year and our first session of 2022.
The key takeaways from last year’s session include:
  • You can’t manage what you can’t measure.
  • Doing something is better than doing nothing.
  • We can lead the way in taking climate action alongside the other work that we do.
I think the above are all really important things to focus on when coming into 2022. Despite other responsibilities we can still incorporate climate action into our work, no matter how small of an action it may seem - and if you have a way to track what you’re doing, you can see how you progress over time and the impact that this has.
We’ve also got a fully developed communications plan in place - so get ready for lots more engagement on our social media channels!
If you have any climate action events or news you’d like us to share, email hello@goinggreentogether.org.
Greener resolutions
We’d love to hear what climate action resolutions you’ve made for 2022! Get in touch with us on social media and spread the word. If you’ve still not chosen one, head to the Act page on our webtool - don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone your a couple of weeks behind.

The forum is open to any individuals or representatives of community and business organisations who reside or are based in the Middlesbrough Council catchment area.
The meetings take place monthly on Wednesdays from 10am until 12 noon at a venue in Whinney Banks. By attending the forum you do not have to commit to anything, you can just come along to see if it is the kind of thing you would like to be involved with.
If you would like to come along then contact david.scriven@menvcity.org.uk to book a place.
