Dream bigger. Go bigger. Take the fucking risk.
When you sit around saying you’re going to do something without actually doing anything about it, people will not take you seriously. When you say you’re going to find a new job, dump your terrible SO, etc. etc. only to keep making excuses to stay in whatever shitpile you live in, it stops meaning anything to anyone. It stops meaning anything to you, in your heart.
You are responsible for your future. No matter how much you blame others, life, or chance for the sad state you find yourself in - ultimately, it’s on you to change shit.
Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is fucking scary. When you stick with what you know, you don’t risk failing. But the thing is, you aren’t really afraid to fail. You’re afraid of succeeding and realizing how powerful you really are. And OK, maybe you’re afraid of failing too.
We’re uncomfortable with discomfort. That’s why so many people stay with partners who cheat on them, work jobs they can’t stand, and keep friends who treat them like a dumping ground for their emotional baggage.
Dream bigger. Make the changes. Be uncomfortable. Be willing to hit rock bottom if it means building up the you you’ve always wanted to be.
This week’s mantras:
- My life is worth temporary discomfort.
- I will take risks.
- I will love myself.
I love you. Have a great week.
