Last week way the kind of week that drags on forever. Too many pitches, not enough assignments, too many assignments left unfinished, spilling into this week, because they hinge on someone else doing something before you can finish them. A week of feeling stuck.
This week, we need to un-stuck ourselves and be free. We need to breathe in and let go of the dirt and grime that’s been gathering on our skin like salt after swimming in the sea.
It’s the last week of August and, in my ways, the last week of summer. I know summer doesn’t technically end for another few weeks, but you can feel it, can’t you? The fall on the edge of the cup, threatening to topple over? The slight, crisp chill that is coming?
I feel it. Fall is the time when the world dies and is reborn. This week let’s start to shed our summer skin, too.
This week’s mantras:
- I am a gift and I will treat myself as such.
- I will revel in my energy and breathe into everything new life.
- I will make a list of the things that need to go: The energy, the people, the clothes, the endless stuff, the shitty clients, the people who can’t be bothered to text back, the mistakes that cannot be undone.
- I will love myself.
Have a great week! I love you.
