I don’t know about you, but I’ve been on a news/media diet for many months and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I’m simply not as distracted as I once was. And there’s a saner pace to my day. I don’t follow the news cycle and any incoming reports I get of politics are pretty random and come from friends in the form of YouTube videos or memes. That’s fine by me. I can watch or delete as my mood dictates. I have been enjoying some of the late night snippets from people like Seth Meyers and Trevor Noah but even these can lead to overload if I’m not careful. I prefer dabbling in my world of miscellany and that’s what I strive to bring you each week - some stories and notes off the beaten path. I’ll be writing more here as my writing muscle becomes better conditioned. It’s atrophied over the last 10 months, so bear with me. Thanks for the outpouring of support for the High Five 2.0. Stay tuned for flights of fancy and new features! I also just finished the best novel I’ve read in a while so I’ll want to tell you about that soon. But, in the meantime …
