Many people are asking me for my opinion on the great question of the day. I’ve been reluctant to weigh in on this but, in the end, I felt I owed it to the readers. So here goes. Check out the story on forest bathing in the links below but make sure you’re clear on the details before heading into the woods. Don’t call me for bail money when they find you with a scrub brush in your local creek - learn from my mistakes.
It’s cooling down a bit in Gainesville and we’ve had a string of perfect days. I take advantage of the dropping temperatures by lacing up the running shoes. I’m slowly re-building a base of basic running fitness. I’ve never been a fast runner, but I can get to the point where I can run for a long time. The long runs are key. I’ve solved so many tricky work issues on long runs and mapped out a million and one schemes. I’ve thought about bringing a recorder along for voice notes but I think I probably already look sufficiently ridiculous. Although, my new hero is an older gentleman I see on the way to the office who trots while reading books.
In other news, I also hear there’s an election coming up. Read. Think. Then Vote!
Here’s my list this week:
