Bureau Nuits 🇫🇷
Bordeaux-based design studio Bureau Nuits firmly steps into the type design world with the release of their first typeface, Uxum Grotesque. What’s even more fun is that its variable font version reacts to the sound of your handclaps – or of any music, really – on its minisite. It was too much we could handle so we caught up with the guys and brought you an exclusive interview on our newly-launched blog.
🎁 Free subscribers just missed out on a free commercial license for 6 styles of Uxum Grotesque. Don’t miss out on more quality free fonts, upgrade to Premium today.

Grotesk Neue by Florian Karsten
A subtle reinterpretation of the 1957 classics, Univers and Helvetica, FK Grotesk Neue is a refreshingly practical take on this ubiquitous genre. Offered in six weights with numerous OpenType features, its spacing works well at larger text sizes, and with some negative tracking it shines as a display typeface (although you may want to disable its fi and fl ligatures). – Rutherford Craze, founder of Mass-Driver
🎁 Premium subscribers get the full family for the price of a single style – that’s 75% off! Offer is valid until June 4th. Just reply to this email to get the discount code.

Sherborne by G-Type Foundry
Sherborne by Nick Cook is a serif with “waisted” vertical stems, meaning that they slightly curve inwards. This is most visible in the lighter weights, and gives the typeface its natural elegance. Sherborne comes in three family variants: Display, Headline and Text, with many OpenType features – I’m particularly fond of the diamond tittles!
🎁 Premium subscribers get 50% off all Sherborne styles and full family until June 6th. Just reply to this email to get the discount code.

Arnoldo by TypeTogether
This beautiful flared humanist sans was designed by Leftloft, an independent studio originally based in Milan. Arnoldo does wonders as a titling font, especially when paired with a serif for text, such as Portada. Also, TypeTogether recently published a detailed guide about combining several scripts in your design projects. And it’s not just useful for multiscript typography – the tips can be applied to pairing fonts in general.
🎁 Premium subscribers get 50% off Arnoldo’s complete family pack until June 6th. Just reply to this email to get the discount code.

Tosh by Black[Foundry]
“Many of Tosh’s characters burst out of their boundaries, and this is a key feature of the typeface. Ligatures develop on-the-fly, not just as OpenType substitutions, because part of one letter often overlaps the next.” Pretty cool! The latest release of Black Foundry comes in two versions, with one more geometric and one more constructed. Personally, I love its texture for short paragraphs of text, as it maintains a healthy dose of personality and funkiness at smaller sizes.
🎁 Premium subscribers get 30% off all Tosh styles and family packs. Just reply to this email to get the discount code.
