Thank you all for taking the time to send me so much feedback! It means a lot to me 🙏🏽
A special thanks goes to Danny Gugger (by the way, I’m in love with his work) and Hugo Leloup (have a look at his impressive work, too). You guys rock!
Based on it, I reworked the design of the newsletter to make it more visual:
  • I added images to illustrate each one of the fonts
  • Because I can’t reduce the space below an image and the following block of text, I added divider lines to better separate the different fonts.
While I really enjoy using Revue (so user-friendly!) it is true that it has more limitations than other email services. I’ll keep improving the design of Fresh Fonts as they roll out new features.
In the meantime, if you see this as an improvement, hit the 👍 at the bottom of the email to let me know!

NewParis Skyline
New addition to the popular NewParis collection by Swiss Typefaces, Skyline is a family of geometric sans-serif fonts. With its unmodulated strokes, Skyline can step in for captions and other small text where other font’s hairlines are too delicate.
Akkordeon Slab
Brought to you by Barcelona-based Emtype, Akkordeon Slab is the next step to a series of ultra display typefaces. While it shares the same skeleton as its original version, it provides a stronger voice – making it perfect for any situation that requires impact headlines. Currently 85% off.

La Fabrique (extended)
Colophon re-visited La Fabrique, its single-weight heavy sans-serif originally released in 2012. The extended family now counts five weights with corresponding Italics, further OpenType features and discretional ligatures.
Designed by Jaume Mercader while on a trip to Scandinavia, Kømpakt stands out for being both simple and elegant – great for titles and headlines. Available in four weights. Free!
BlackTop is a handwritten graffiti-style display font created by SixAbove Studios. Rugged and legible, it brings bold characteristics of street art to build some breakdown into your design beats.
The guys at Porto-based DSType Foundry have been pretty busy this summer, starting with the release of Isento, a gothic typeface also available as a rectangular Slab. Both Isento and Isento Slab range from Thin to ExtraBold, with perfectly matching italics.
Also released by DSType Foundry, Quase is a loose interpretation of the types found in A Specimen of Printing Types by William Caslon, published in 1785. The serif family comes in four optical sizes: Text, Headline, Display & Poster — making it a complete solution for editorial design.
Latest release of  Tokotype, Gramatika can be defined as a grotesque-ish contemporary type. It consists of several weights from ExtraLight to Black, and includes extensive language support and large OpenType features to play with. Currently 50% off.
Scotch is a family of Roman serif fonts released by Positype in three sizes: Text, Display and Deck. Easy on the eyes and available in 6 weights with matching true italics, Scotch text is a workhorse for long-passage text settings. Currently 50% off.
Praktika, a super family of 40 fonts, is a contemporary version of early 20th century European grotesque styles, traditionally used in road signage. It consists of three distinct widths and weights from extra light to extra bold. Currently 85% off.
Lastly, if you stumble upon nice new type, or want to share your own, just hit reply and send me the link!
I will feature it in the next issue 👊🏽
