I’ve got some big news. After years of procrastination, I finally decided to learn to code!
I’m one week into the foundation course at SuperHi now, and I have to admit, they made it fun, easy, and very engaging. Not only the course is well crafted, guiding you through the basics at your own pace, but the team pays attention to all the details.
The course also comes with a book, written in plain English and divided into small sections that are easy to digest. But obviously, the fun comes from getting your¬†hands dirty ‚Äď and by having to¬†create¬†a new website every week for the next eight weeks, I‚Äôm hoping that my progress will quickly become visible.¬†
What I‚Äôm most excited about, however, is to learn how to use variable fonts. It‚Äôs not exactly part of the program, but I‚Äôll use my first session of¬†one-on-one mentoring to jump into that.¬†I‚Äôll keep you posted!¬†ūü§ó ‚Äď Noemi
PS Type expert¬†Nadine Chahine¬†offered to mentor three young female type designers during the year.¬†If you‚Äôre interested, send her your type design portfolio,¬†and¬†a short paragraph explaining the kind of guidance that you need,¬†at nadine@arabictype.com. Hurry up though ‚Äď she‚Äôs picking the lucky three on Tuesday!
