The next big thing in transportation? The 'un-car'

Good morning!
Ikea has made a bold commitment to reduce more greenhouse gas emissions than its entire value chain creates, and to hit that milestone in just a decade. Because one-third of its footprint comes from the materials it uses to make its furniture, a key part of the company’s climate strategy will mean changing how it makes its furniture and—perhaps more importantly—altering what customers do with it when its done.
The company currently uses 18 million cubic meters of wood, enough to fill 7,200 Olympic-size swimming pools, every year, and it needs to lower that number. This will mean changing its perception from cheap, disposable pieces and educating customers about reuse and recycling. The goal is to be making products that are truly circular, able to be broken down to their parts and reused when they’re no longer needed. Will it be able to revolutionize how people use its products in time to hit its ambitious goal?
