Startup Digest Fargo - Issue #17: Welcome 2021!

Issue #17 — View online — Suggest a link

The personalized local newsletter for the Fargo Moorhead startup scene.

I’m feeling optimistic about 2021, but I’m also a glass half-full kind of person. The limitation of in-person opportunities in 2020 was not great for fostering the vibe and magic that our region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is so good at generating. But, hopefully the recent shifts in our ways of life will also bring a shift of innovation that may come with times like these. As for in-person stuff, in the meantime while we all wait for when we can get back at it, let’s continue to do what we can to connect, learn, work, give help, ask for help & more to keep the mojo going.
XX by Wefunder is accepting applications (through 1/17) for their 8-week accelerator. With this cohort, they state they are “looking for smart founders who are thinking about the first and second order impact of” the recent shift to remote work by companies and “expect an accelerated shift in how we work, play, and live…turning our focus towards challenges that will outlast 2020”.
Hill Capital will be holding two Empire Builders sessions on 1/21 on “How to Build Financial Foundation to Grow Value” (9:30-11am) and “Achieving a Breakout Valuation” (2-3:30pm). Participation in the first session is required to attend the second session.
gener8tor has info available on their upcoming accelerators. All gener8tor’s Flagship accelerators and accelerator studios are at least 12-weeks and are accompanied by a $100K investment. They are also accepting applications for their Q1 Lighting Rounds: Investor Pitches, which this quarter is open to startup founders who identify as Black or Brown (apply by 2/1).
