Here’s your weekly dose of “Sunday Bits”, a short list of things I came across that I find interesting and would like to share with you guys.
1. This thread by @eshear celebrates his 10 year anniversary of launching Twitch with a big list of lessons he learned along the way. It is abstract enough, yet still deeply practical. It’s a goldmine, really.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of launching Twitch, I thought I’d share some of the lessons I learned along the way. Each of these insights could probably be expanded into an essay, of course. Like the ones you would want me to expand on in the future.
2. Check out this collection of thinking tools and frameworks aptly named “Tools for better thinking”. It’s beautifully illustrated and very concise. And it’s absolutely worth a quick skim to have at the very least the mental references for these tools in your brain so that you’ll know you can use them when the situation arises.
3. Readwise announced this week that they’re working on a read-it-later app. Given my recent search for a better knowledge-management system, and my falling ever more deeply in love with Readwise’s excellent content review system… I’m beyond excited by the news. I’ve already requested the early access, and I really can’t wait to get my hands on it to test it out.
I’m currently both a Pocket and Instapaper user, and while I do like them… I’ve found limits with both platforms that keep me on the fence when choosing one between the two. So it’ll be interesting to see how the new kid on the block compares to these. Stay tuned!
As always, please give me feedback on Twitter! It’d make my day to hear from you guys. Which thing above is your favorite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions?
