Sunday Bits - August 29, 2021

Hi all!
Welcome to my first ever weekly email.
Aptly named “Sunday Bits”, it’s going to be a short list of things I came across that I find interesting and would like to share with you guys.
It’s a win-win scenario, I think: I get to recall these things - and this improves mindfulness and retention - and you guys might just find some interesting new stuff to check out (🤞).
Win-win means sustainable. And sustainable means that we’ll keep doing it as we all benefit from it.
So, without further ado, here’s your (first) weekly dose of “Sunday Bits”.

1. Here’s a very interesting and concrete way to improve relationships with the people you care about. Transforms the relationship from a zero-sum game to an infinite-sum game.
Shaan Puri
how to not f*ck up relationships (in business & life)
2. Book recommendation: Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon. Breezed through it. This is an absolute must-read. Short and to the point (just the way I like it), it lays out ways to think about your work as a never-ending process, how to build an audience by sharing that process, and how to deal with the ups and downs of putting yourself and your work out in the world.
3. This week I switched from Wordpress to Ghost for my personal website and blog
I’m going to write a post about the switch with additional details. But I love the fact that I can (actually I’m almost forced to) just focus on the writing, instead of spending countless hours curating layout, design, SEO, plugins, etc., only to neglect the very reason why I started the blog in the first place (to blog!, darn it). And the customizations - should you need them - are actually pretty intuitive to perform (though you may need to know how to code or hire somebody that does).
So far, I’m loving it. Do check Ghost out!
4. Quotes I’m pondering right now:
  • F**k it, ship it.
  • If you are not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you’ve launched too late. -Reid Hoffman
I think this issue is good enough as it is. And I’m going to apply that first quote quite literally and f**king ship it now 🔥
Please give me feedback on Twitter! It’d make my day to hear from you guys. Which thing above is your favorite? What do you want more or less of? Other suggestions?
Do let me know! Just send a tweet to @fab_rosato and put #SundayBits at the end so I can find it.
Have a wonderful week!
Much love to you and yours,
Did you enjoy this issue? Yes No
