F1 Feeder Series editors on their favourite articles of 2021

Man, 2021 came and went in the blink of an eye. Editorially we really ramped it up this year as we talked to dozens of F2, F3, F4 and Road to Indy drivers, attended press conferences and our editors produced loads of unique content on the world of feeder series.

To close the year off in style, here are our favourite articles of 2021!

Charlie on his interview with Alex Jacques: “My longest interview, just over an hour, and it felt like we could go forever. As most people are, I am a huge fan of Alex and it was an honour to speak with him. Really got a good look into how he commentates, and how he managed to do so much. There was many things that didn’t make the article because we talked about so much. Just a great guy and a pleasure to speak to.”

In 2021 we took on a talented staff of editors who are aspiring motorsport journalists. With their help we’ve been able to ramp op the amount of content.

Adam on interviewing Gianluca Petecof: “Spoke for over an hour, he’s got such an interesting story and he articulated it really well, gave great detail and insight into a lot of ups and downs from last year and his personality really came through as well. One of the only interviews I’ve done where I wished I could just upload the whole audio to Spotify, plus a lot of his stuff revolved around the bigger names in junior racing (e.g. Ferrari Driver Academy, Arthur Leclerc), it really just felt like he was telling his story and he has some story to tell.”

Richard on interviewing Jonathan Brown: “It’s the only interview I’ve done so far with F1 Feeder Series but he was very open and honest with his responses. He was just on the back of getting a shock podium at Silverstone and was full of motivation for the rest of the season. He gave me plenty to work with and didn’t shy away from anything.”

Floris on writing about the best F4 rookies: “This is right at the heart of what I love to do: shine a light on talented drivers at an early stage of their career. To notice their performance, their growth and then to share it with our followers. And to see fans develop new heroes. This is what F1 Feeder Series is all about and I love to do it every step of the way.”

Tyler on the press conference with Dan Ticktum: “My favourite article that I have written with F1 Feeder Series so far is certainly the article following Dan Ticktum’s sprint race victory in Sochi this year. With Formula 2 it’s always fun to cover the premier feeder series, especially when it involves a driver of the likes of Ticktum.

"He had recently accepted that his dream of F1 was most likely over and was now completely rogue and said a lot of very Ticktum-esque comments in the press conference. Being the first to report on this is always a pleasure and that specific article really seemed to connect with fans.”
