EJAU has an international team. Jack is from the United Kingdom, Omar and Sheng are from The Hague in the Netherlands. Elena is living in the Ukraine and Mary is currently working from Vietnam. I’m in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We have one more spot to fill: product-owner for Conversiongym. If you know someone, please let me know!
Working with a remote team has some challenges and we’re hoping to tackle these by using Asana, Slack and Jira to align the team and work together smoothly. I am looking into asynchronous (scrum) meetings. Do you have any experience with these kind of meetings?
One way to keep the team working smoothly is to give everyone the tools to be successful. We have clear revenue targets for our projects, so if a feature, task or project is helping us to achieve our project goals, team members have budget and can make decisions to get things done. I don’t think that is just a good way to work remotely, but benefits any business.
Next week I’ll be in Bangkok and Koh Tao.
