In the Algorithm section of issue #4, I made an Excel analogy saying you won’t need to KNOW algorithms to make them work for you any more than you need to know Exel’s underlying software code that makes it work. Last week, Microsoft announced that starting in2018, Excel will have a new insights “data type” function that uses machine learning algorithms.
