January is finally over, which means it’s time for the second edition of this newsletter! 🥳
The support has been overwhelmingly great, with over a 100 newsletter subscribers and thousands of website views since launching late-December ❤️. It’s encouraging to see so many of you motivated to build a better tech landscape 🙌🏻.
The first month of 2021 has been long and eventful, ending with Reddit users making the GameStop stock prices explode last week, which caused huge losses for hedge funds, and a call for investigation into Robinhood after they limited buying GameStop stocks.
And the month started with violent riots and an insurrection at the Capitol building in Washington DC, prompting Trump to (finally) get banned from Twitter and major tech companies to (finally) cut ties with Parler.
But the work isn’t done there, and we all share a responsibility when it comes to building ethical technology and safe communities. What are you or your company doing to prevent your products from being used to cause harm?
February’s newsletter features new additions to the, book recommendations, inclusive design tools, accessibility news, interesting talks, and more 💪🏻.
If there is a resource you want to add or topic you want to see covered, don’t hesitate to answer this email, or submit one yourself through our GitHub.
