Change is hard. That’s why product leaders need tools such as storytelling to inform and get everybody excited for what’s to come, but also ensure that they know their part in it.
It’s important to find common ground. Using jargon won’t get you there and you have to align on interest. Julie Zhou, VP of Product Design at Facebook thinks that:
“You have to believe that other people’s stories are as interesting and important as your own, and that talking about yourself is a way to find common ground with another person.“
